Are you on Facebook or Twitter 24/7? Do you like connecting with groups on and off campus? Would you enjoy developing your own marketing campaign? If so, then the Daily Sundial wants to hear from you. We are seeking a marketing/PR manager or the upcoming school year (2011-12). Marketing/Promotions Manager ­– 2010-11

Students will develop and execute marketing/promotional campaigns that will raise the profile of the Daily Sundial (online and print) on campus and in the surrounding community.

Position Responsibilities:

  • * Create promotional campaigns for Daily Sundial special sections and general online, print products
  • * Coordinate We Are Northridge contest
  • * Develop presentations and coordinate informational meetings with on campus and off campus groups regarding advertising and news opportunities
  • * Initiate audience research via online interactivity to study and grow online users
  • * Promote content through social networking sites, email newsletters, link journalism, etc.
  • * Recruit students to work at the Sundial by attending orientation, club day, etc.
Position Requirements:
  • Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Research skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and multi-tasking ability
  • Strong project management and problem solving skills
 Job Status:
   Paid position or course credit
    Ten hours per week required.  We are open to accommodating a work schedule that coordinates with school schedules.
